Oh, yes. Yes, he is. Believe me...I've seen him do it for years. LOL

Brilliant! Dad will be so disappointed when he gets some noisy trucks for our would-be, someday, hypothetical kid(s). He makes a habit out of buying the noisiest ones he can find for little kids. >.<

ZOMG! So going to try out that pot roast! It's awesome to see so many smiles. ^.^ I'm glad you really took the time to enjoy the holiday. I've never had to do the hustle going from place to place as an adult, but I remember getting bundled up and having to do it as a kid. >.< Merry belated Christmas!

Well, the patch could be bad or good depending on how you'd like to play the game. For Hubby, the whole allure of the game is to go around doing loads of side quests and quest chains. Even with Oblivion he has yet to reach the end of the main quest because he just likes doing all the other stuff. Unfortunately, the more you do on the game, the larger the save file gets. Bethesda dropped the ball there. Once the save file gets "too big" (which just shouldn't happen if you're going to develop a game of this kind), the whole game freezes repeatedly and renders it unplayable (to the point that even hitting the PS button won't take you out of the game... you have to force close and power off the whole system).

I mean, the game was going to be buggy. Bethesda doesn't put out anything that ISN'T buggy. But entirely unplayable? Meh. If that didn't make an ounce of sense (as my vanilla non-gamer explanations tend to be) let me know and I'll have Hubby make a more coherent explanation for me to send you.

Hubby will probably be getting a Wii for the holiday. *Shakes head* Especially now that he wants to melt his PS3 down thanks to a patch that killed Skyrim. >.< There is absolutely no doubt in my mind any kid we might have will be a gamer. None. Lol (Also, glad to know I'm not the only one who has watched video games being played. I'll try my hand at a few of them, but some of them are beyond my ability....or make me motion sick. O.O )

I remember the bus ride home taking so long it was like a break in and of itself. A break after school doesn't have to be super long...enough time for a quick snack and letting you know how her day went? I don't know. Even when I hit grad school I preferred doing my daily work right when I got home so I could feel free to have my fun once it was done. Then again, I was a big fan of schoolwork, so that might just be because I'm weird. I wish you luck! I'm curious to see what ya'll decide to do! (Did Sweet Pea have any input regarding her preferences?)

Oh, yeah. I've had those thoughts before. Almost always when I'm having my own bad day with a splitting headache. =P More often than not, though, so long as the parent/grandparent/auntie/uncle/whoever is with them is being cool about it, I'll give a sympathetic smile and move on. When I see a parent flip out, though? No, no, no... Then I stare really, really hard and say something. I'm way more likely to look past a kid flipping out than I am an adult. Can I understand the temptation? Oh, sure. Understand acting on the impulse? Adults should have more control of themselves than little kids.

Oh, no. It's definitely not just you. Don't get me wrong. We're still snacking (wouldn't be realistic otherwise), but we're trying to keep the snacks healthier (like yogurt and stuff). They just don't satisfy like a package of Oreos, though. Or a candy bar. Or a bag of chips... It does feel good! I'm just looking forward to the cravings going away! (Or at least improving. =P )

Very cute pics! I think the RenFest is great if you're either little, or an adult. It kind of misses the pre-teen/early-teen group altogether. =/ Bummer that it didn't go well all around, but you and Spence certainly deserve a time out with just the two of you!

M&M cookies... Oh, no. That sounds so good. >.< Hubby and I are working on our eating habits. We haven't been having soda, and we've cut out most sweets and snacks. It's been a bit change for us. O.O Hopefully our waistlines see some of that change in the near future, too. =P
