JD, I have faced this EXACT situation. My husband has been laid off twice in the past 3 months. After the first lay off, his Income was cut 60% and I found out I am pregnant. We have reduced our expenses (almost) as much as we can. I prayed and prayed about my 3 Compassion kids and the answer I got was "which of the 4 children that live with you are you willing to give up to save money?" None of them! I asked friends to see us through this slump. (after another friend paid 2 months sponsorship for me) right now I have enough for another 2 months.

My compassion kids are living in a poverty that I will likely never live. Even with our income at its lowest, we still have more than they have. Like I told my blog readers and friends I don't want to send my compassion kids into back Into the pool that and have them know that not only were they not chosen, they were given up.

I drink a smoothie a day, but have never had a green one. I usually do strawberries, banana, low fat milk, homemade yogurt and chia seeds.

My mom thinks your way too. If everyone else is doing it, there is no way she will!

I need a new blender. I've looked at the Ninja. What store did you get it from? I don't think I have ever seen it for $40!
