Mmmmm ok these are features of the product, I would hardly describe them as 'little known things you can do with iMIndmap"! These are the features that you will find in the full version of the software for the desktop machines. The iPad version does not have identical features but it can integrate with it very effectively.

Here is a link to a mind map I produced last week (created in iMindMap v4) which summarises a 95 page government document on the UK education review and reforms. This map was designed for Educational professionals to use to get an over quickly and easily. http://wp.me/p9ikC-jb

Excellent! I have been using this 'profile CV' in mind map format for a number of years now. It gets you noticed, remembered often gets you the job you are after. Of course some people will react against it in the same way as they react against anything or anyone different (outside their comfort zone usually). I went down this route because I wanted to make it very clear how I communicated, it is important to use teach and use what you preach.

Interesting, I too find looking at lists and tips and wondering what they would look like as a mind map. However I always go to the next step and create a mind map of the list/tips. I then submit this to the author. This helps spread the word and often leads to good links which may never have occurred.

1. Use an organic method which triggers your brain into an active mode.
2. Use your brain in a relaxed and reflective state.
3. Don't look for problems to solve just look for solutions to create.
4. Mindmap always for clarity, see the whole picture.
5. Display them so that you and others can easily come back to them and add, see the links.
6. If anyone ever asks about mindmapping always take the time to explain the processes.

I have used Mind maps when I work with clients and friends to deal with life changes, difficult times, changes in personal circumstances, bereavement, divorce, change in work, study etc.
The mind map allows the client to see the bigger picture rather than the natural tendency to focus on dominant areas/features. If you have not tried this then I suggest that this might be a way forward for folk.
