WHERE did you get ahold of a commercial kitchen?? I want one! With at least a half mile of counterspace, please...

Snohomish is wet. We have mud and water everywhere. Mud in the pastures, water in the ditch, water in the crawlspace (argh), and no snow. It's enough to make a couple of just-recently-moved-from-the-city kids cry...

I make a GF version of these for the Moose, using Elana's recipe from Elana's Pantry: http://www.elanaspantry.com/rosemary-crackers/. These are REALLY easy to roll out, and have a nicely nutty flavor as well!

I'd love a copy of the soda book. My carbonator needs a workout! I love anything cola-y, but the biggest fav around here is sparkling cider.

Did you do anything with the strained almonds afterward? Almond butter or anything? Just thinking... I want to give this a try, but I don't want to toss anything I don't hafta.

I’d ask the farmer if they keep batches longer for themselves, and see if I could get in on that batch.  That’s what we do!

We've been letting our broilers go 9 and 10 weeks, till they reach 5 and 6 pounds. Makes the more expensive per bird, but you get a lot more meat on the bones, and therefore, more meals per bird. Many of the farm customers would rather have the smaller birds because the price tag is lower per bird, but a few have realized that bigger birds = more meat, and they need fewer overall.

Ah, yes, that post-partum weight loss through nursing. With my first, I lost 22 pounds in two weeks... I was actually worried for awhile that I'd go too far the other way and waste away to nothing.

Obviously, that didn't work. Oh, well.

:) He's sure a cutie!
