I was crying before I made it to the links man. This place has been the best thing to happen to me on the Internet. I don't know what else to say but thank you to all of you.
Also I have a dumb meeting at 10. What happens at 10? *weeps*
Thanks Nikki! You're the second person to ever tell me they *loved* a piece that I wrote and would publish. You're also the nicest rejection for an essay I've ever gotten - managed to still make me feel super great about me and what I wrote. Will pitch you, will miss you and The Toast <3
That Atlas Obscura link made me so itchy the entire time I read it. Also those sting descriptions are so vivid. I love Atlas Obscura <3
The Toast has given me so much (and you guys published me!) and I'm just so grateful that you existed for as long as you did. I look forward to creeping on the Twitter and reading the undoubtedly great things you get up to in the future. Thanks so much for The Toast!
My parents are more TV/movie people, so I was banned from a lot of those, but never books. I do remember stealing/sneaking my mother's and aunt's Mills & Boon and Harlequin books though, and the scandal one girl caused reading VC Andrews at school.
I didn't have the words to express why I didn't like this, I just knew that I HATED it. Thank you Mallory! It is truly awful (and the singing *is* creepy)
I was pretty pumped when I saw the Ghostbusters trailer tbh. And I get some of the criticism and agree with it but I was also disappointed by some that criticism that focused more on the style of Leslie Jones' comedy and used that to make assumptions about the character being a stereotype. I think someone else pointed out that the character description has her as a historian, so maybe the trailer just doesn't reflect that? Anyways, I wanna be hopeful and I will probably see it too.
I honestly don't remember either. But I think if it was I would have, so it must not have been included or at least not in a significant way?
I think I will rewatch this weekend...
