This was very informative and thought provoking. I'm from Texas, so I've had a lot of chili in my day. But the idea of adding in the ingredients one at a time to layer flavor is an idea I'd never heard. I'll be sure to try this technique.
At least it wasn't some nasty half smokes from Ben's. I don't usually confront people because you have no idea what kind of crazy person you might be tangling with, but if it's a situation where I can inform a WMATA employee I do. Don't know how much good that does but it's better than nothing.
Nice to know. But not much relief when we sat stopped in the tunnel on the yellow line short of Pentagon for almost 20 minutes due to single tracking due to a medical emergency at Reagan National. I'm surprised we didn't have any medical emergencies. And yes it was yesterday at evening rush hour so the temp was around 100F.
