Oh - a great list! I've read Field Notes, The Lost Salt Gift of Blood, & Whirl-Away. Loved them all.

I just added Deon Meyer's series to my TBR - thanks for the recommendation!

I, for one, am NOT surprised you chose mathematics. ;-)

I have always been intrigued by The Physics of Baseball by Robert K Adair, not least because of the cover of the copy I had. https://www.amazon.ca/Physics-Baseball-Robert-K-A...

Unfortunately, Before I read it, I lent it to a friend who is a baseball fiend, and never got it back.

I read The Witch of Blackbird Pond in Grade 8, when I sat beside the little shelf bookcase that was our class 'library'. I think I read everything on those shelves, but remember only Witch, Mrs. Mike and some sort of biography of Tom Thomson. :-)

I finished off 2017 with two of these, with a win and a loss.

Little Fires Everywhere was as good as everyone says, but I struggled mightily with Bellevue Square and finally had to give up about pg 150.

I hope you can get to your list this year!

Good luck with "Rockbound". I finished it because of book club, and I'm glad I did, but it was some tough slogging in parts. It helps to read the dialogue aloud to capture the sound of the dialect, because it's not easy to make out from the written word.

The Quirks and Quarks Guide looks interesting. Any connection to the CBC show?

I really enjoyed Never Cry Wolf and think it should be more widely read. Wolves are still wildly misunderstood.

Unseen City looks really interesting. If I was still an urban dweller, I would probably read this.

See - Nonfiction November is widening my horizons. You know I put Moonwalking with Einstein on my TBR list already, and I may have to check out a Dana Sobel book!

Oh - I saw Moonwalking with Einstein on the Post Office book table last week and didn't pick it up. Darn! I'll have to get back to the village and see if it's still there.
