Stumbled across this article today on MLK day. I agree, Rand and MLK were almost complete opposites, yet so many on the right happened conjure up ways to make MLK THEIR hero. the guy who started "national gun appreciation day" said that he would have been "pro-gun" because the oppressed would be able to defend themselves back in the day. Its mind-boggling! MLK was totally anti-war, anti-violence, and for social programs. Fox New's and the libertarian movement would have had a field day destroying him if it existed back then as it does today.
