Oh, this sounds intriguing! I haven't read too many books based on Celtic folklore, but love the idea. Nicely reviewed.

Hah, I love that the author's first car was named Neo. I worked on that movie, and somehwhere I have an umbrella with all the green streaming code--it's pretty cool!

I need to start this series soon, I have heard such good things about it. :)

Oh, I can't wait to read this, Debby! I don't mind seeing your 3.5 rating since a couple of her books have been around that for me as well, but I just love the bouncy writing style, and as you said, there's always amazing chemistry between the characters. I'm glad to see you enjoyed this despite a few quibbles--definitely on my list to get from Amazon UK the next time I feel like splurging! Thanks for the review. :)

Ooo, this sounds good! Adding it to my TBR. That cover could use a little help, though. :P

Ooo, you used the magic words "sense of dread," Donna. That tells me there's a build-up of tension rather than just gross out horror or just jumping-out-of-the-closet time of scares. Will have to get ahold of this one soon, thanks for the review!

I need to reread this sometime--I haven't read it since high school, I think! I even bought the anniversary edition last year or the year before. I'm glad you responded to it as an adult, Bonnie--sometimes I'm curious about whether the stuff I loved as a kid would be stuff other adults would now love.

Although really, who am I kidding. I've always had excellent taste. :D

I've only read Handmaid's Tale and Blind Assassin, but I definitely have to pick up Oryx and Crake sometime! It's a shame to hear this one ended up being a bit of a mixed bag for you (SO disappointing in a series ender), but at least it seems it was worth sticking through to the end.
