I used to do that too. It was the only way I could get them to behave sometimes. I don't think it was a bad parenting thing, just a clever parent thing.

Love the poem and the button picture...what a lovely thing to create in memory of your mum!! Good idea ref gift tokens for Christmas savings...never thought of doing that!
