That's a bummer that you are having to pass on your Columbus plans, but it sounds like you're making the right decision for you. One of the good things about fall race season is that there are more than enough races to choose from. I'm glad that you were able to easily find a replacement race to run instead. I've heard great things about Baltimore.
It sounds like you all had a great weekend in the city. I'm with you on avoiding driving into the city. We often take the train in as well.
Despite having a blog as an online record there's also something to be said for writing things down on paper. I keep a paper training calendar and it definitely helps me to stay organized and on top of everything.
Good for you to listen to your body and recognize that body pump may not have been in your best interest last week. I hope that your neck is feeling better this week!
What an interesting thing to use an eggplant to make. I always struggle with ideas on what to make with eggplant.
Kudos to you for a great week of workouts. Staying motivated in this heat and humidity is definitely challenging but it'll make us all much stronger runners come the fall.
It looks like your hotel was absolutely beautiful. It definitely helps when traveling when the hotel gym is well equipped.
You certainly hit up a lot of the San Francisco highlights. I had no idea that you have to make reservations to get into Muir Woods. I don't recall having to do that while on a family vacation back in the late 90s. My how times have changed.
I'm so sorry to hear about all that you're going through. I can sympathize with the uncertainty that comes with changes to medication. Hopefully everything gets worked out sooner than later!
I feel you on the frustrations. I've been dealing with some health issues, and it has had a very heavy impact on my running. Its frustrating that a year ago I was much faster than I am today, but just remember that sometimes things are out of our control, and that they will eventually get better.
