Oh my goodness,go to the Boros Gallery!!!! It's in a converted civilian bunker from WWII,which then spent parts of its postwar life as a Soviet fruit storage facility and a rave. Now it's home (literally HOME - on the top floor) to some art collectors and their contemporary collection. Tours are in German or English, and the guides are really informative and nice! https://www.sammlung-boros.de/boros-collection.ht...

I had my first counseling appointment ever on Wednesday (I was very scared), and it was WONDERFUL! In the past few months I've made Really Significant progress after a couple dark and difficult years. I'm really, really proud of myself and wanted to share it with someone removed from the situation. So I did, and it was a great experience!

I'm late again, but I just wanted to say thanks again for the pen pal advice!

In other news, I am in love with this lunch box and fully intend to buy it for myself with my tax return: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/m/products/mackenz...

My Dad (sweet, sweet, wonderful man that he is) will laugh and laugh and LAUGH and laugh at:
"Two peanuts were walking down the railroad track. One was a-salted!"

What lovely and astute advice. Thank you - I appreciate your help more than I can say. I'll try to respond from top to bottom in a list:
1. That wasn't very clear, was it? I was going for "RIDICULOUS" as in, "Whoa! Who would expect someone on the other side of the world to respond at all to my dumb kitchen cabinet story? What a nice surprise!"
2. In answer to your extremely apt questions (have you actually known me all my life?), I think my answers are yes and a half? Yes, I become deeply attached to people without much romantic encouragement from the other direction. And yes, I'm very loyal to those feelings- and it's tempting not to bother with other, more immediate possibilities. But at the same time, I do enjoy going on dates, and am open to the idea of seeing people in my area. Now, will I approach these dates as romantic possibilities as long as pen pal has my loyal affection, or will I consider them as fun, social things and nothing more? Jury's still out on that one.
3. Your advice on toning it down and asking him about the emails is extremely sound. EXTREMELY sound. All of this advice - so sound. Really, truly, thank you. I can't tell you how much I needed to hear this. Thank you.
