First off, who doesn't want a decent bowl of elk soup? Really! I'm glad to finally read something about Tallinn in the winter. You were lucky to still have blue skies. I also didn't know the ferries run all year round.

Catherine, I would have to disagree about Goreme. I lived in Turkey for four years and went there at least twice a year, there are plenty of good experiences and food and everything else to be had, but you definitely need to know where to go. Sorry you had a bad experience.

As always Laurence, I love the photos! I lived in Alaska for eight years and loved the winters there. You are right this hotel sounds like it has it all. Love it.
