We're looking forward to this series too! You are much braver than me, as I don't think I could do two 31 days challenges all at once--especially not with writing three college essays as I'm doing the nexgt two weeks and wrapping up two of my current classes in preparation to begin another set of two in mid Oct. Whew! Here we go! ;)

Thank you for allowing God to turn your pain in to hope, and for passing that hope on to not only your sponsored children, but your blog readers as well. This letter to your younger self is beautiful, and I was blessed to be able to read it. Thanks for sharing, and have a blessed week!

We love writing to our Compassion family. Thank you for sharing this post, and God is indeed a God of answers! I know you are an answer to your precious children's prayers, so keep loving them as you do! :) I also like your "Sponsorship Saturday" too! :) Have a blessed Compassion blog month and beyond! We're excited to be participating in blog month at: http://www.compassioncalling.com. We participated last year for the first time, and we were challenged and grew in our writing and passion for the ministry to children around the world.

So precious, and so beautiful! How sweet that she kept telling the translator to tell you how much she loves you! :)

Wow! Chills and holding back tears! As someone who grew up without my earthly father, this breaks and heals my heart all at once. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing how God is working out the details and please know that you have encouraged me as we are preparing for our DR trip in Nov and waiting on the Lord to work out details as we speak. Praying you have a wonderful trip and can't wait to hear about it when you return!

Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! :) I'm crying and looking forward to our trip to the Dominican Republic to meet our sponsored son Vladimir in November. Reading this post makes me more excited for our trip! BTW, we now correspond with a young man named Richard from EC! :)

We loved reading your letters! We're not big fans of the form letters either, so we are greatful that our youngest has aged past them. I love how Madina specificly mentions and greets your daughters and your pets. My favorite Scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, so I had to smile at Madina's camp. It's so sweet that she mentions not only that God cares and has good plans for her, but that she mentions "you" and "everyone". Onen's letter is also precious! My heart was touched when I read that he is happy and thanks God that you "went through the New Year alive"! Wow! His Christmas and New Year's celebrations with his family sound like a wonderful time, and the rest of his letter is so sweet too! We love receiving letters from our Toface in Uganda, so we can certainly understand your joy at receiving these two beautiful letters.

We received letters from Tatiana in El Salvador and Miguel in the Philippines, and probably one of the longest letters from Pankaj in India. Highlights are in our newest mail call Monday post.
