Yeah, I'm with Sheryl on this. I don't understand it at all.

This is so tough. When we go to the beach (here on Long Island) we bring everything home with us. I use containers for the sandwiches instead of wrapping them in saran wrap or baggies. Those are too easy to get loose and fly away. it really REALLY makes me angry when I see litter at the beach (or when we're out Kayaking). My 7 year old told me that he didn't want to play with a boy in the neighborhood anymore. I asked why and he said, "Mom--he LITTERS."

Man. Now I'm hungry. I do try and buy organic when available. It's not always easy. But this year we planted a lot of fruits and veggies and have made jars and jars and jars of our own strawberry jam. So far, it's going well and it's kind of fun. :)

I do love walking places. Do you know what walking does besides the obvious? It makes you slow down. If you can't use your car to race to 100 different places, drive thrus, etc in an hour, you slow down a little. You schedule better, you forget trying to fit it all in. I loved walking my kids to preschool. Almost EVERY TIME I did, someone would slow down and ask me if I needed a ride. Especially with my daughter.. walking was sweet. We'd discuss the flowers popping up, house colors, squirrels, and any cat that darted across the street.

Awesome. I love gardening and love to see others garden too. I dropped my son off at a (new to me) friend's house today and instantly noticed her montauk daisies. I started looking around to see if she had a designated garden area... I can't help myself. It's one of the reasons I like to run in neighborhoods over main streets. I adore looking at what everyone does...
