I uttered two racist phrases in my life without knowing they were racist/what they meant, but I don't suppose that counts, does it (but let me know if it does). I do remember saying something about "White people problems" on Facebook and a POC friend said "I prefer to call those DINK (double income no kids) problems." I cringed--and learned a lesson.

I read this book to my kid sometimes just for a change of pace and I choke up each and every time because that is the ONLY REASON THAT BOOK WAS WRITTEN. I don't need that shit.
I posted something about doge on a friend's wall (that Iceberg had sent me, of course) and a third party opined that the doge is a racist creation designed to mock those who don't speak English so wow. So suppressed eye roll. Much humorless.
#3 is my husband. He also will sometimes look out the window and go "What?!" and not tell me what he's looking at. I hate him.
Oh man. I haven't watched an animated Bat-person show since I was in my teens but still it was very clear to me before I even knew what femslash was that there was *something* about that Harley Quinn. I'm glad the show's writers kept it up and gave her a life.

Thanks Nicole. Also worth noting that maybe people have different ways of establishing their own post-baby goals. I'm proud that I lost the weight in under a year (363 days, but who's counting?) and that I ran a long race in that time. But I'll never look like that lady and don't need her letting me know that achieving my particular goals is an 'excuse.' (And of course MY goals were MY goals because I have my own particular brand of vanity/neorosis etc that does not need to be applied to anyone else.)
