I LOVE this word! Dance is such a fabulous and joyful word. I've too have been choosing one word for the past couple years in lieu of resolutions and I really love it. And you're right - the right word always seems to find you.

Yes! Base building over the winter IS so important. I used to think that winter meant a nice long break from running and that I could easily pick it back up again when the weather warmed up but I was so wrong! Love these tips.

It's funny because I listen to podcasts sometimes when I run but never thought about listening to an audio book! I'd like to listen to Finding Ultra next. I loved A Life Without Limits.

This is such a great post - and one that I wish that I read when I started running! I definitely wish that I knew it wasn't all about PRs and pace and distance alone and that to be a stronger runner, you need to do things other than just run.

I love that coffee pot graphic! Who knew you could cook so many things in a coffee pot?? So many great tips and tricks here. I definitely pack a lot of healthy snacks and bring resistance bands with me when we travel.

It always amazes me how our bodies just know, like getting sick after a big race when all that adrenaline and stress has passed. If I feel it in my chest, I usually skip the run and drink lots of fluid and rest up.

I've tried a couple of activity trackers and I always kind of quit them after a month or two. But I now have one from Garmin that I've been wearing since the beginning of the year. It's been really helpful to get me moving during the day because you're absolutely right - I don't tend to move much outside of my workout. Thankfully living in NYC means I walk a fair amount but still. It's nice to have something to keep me accountable. The Jawbone Up3 is super cute!
