Where do you get it from that Christmas day would be the day that God would have come down in the flesh to live as one of us and to die on the cross to take the wrath of Himself "against sin upon Himself in our place", and for what use would God have done such a faking of His death and having us still suffer all this time?

The problem with the United States of America is the extreme groups, in Christianity and in Muslim. Strange also that the make of this blog does find that atheist are a minority group which is much hated. Normally they are the biggest group and they are loved most.
Christians should totally not hate atheists. Christ Jesus, whom they should follow showed the way how to treat other believers and show them respect. Christians should have an open mind to people who think differently than them and should show their Christian love for them. What would other-while be the difference between a non believer doing good works and a believer doing good works?

In the United States seems to grow a phobia for all sorts of thinking, be it religious, economical or political. Strangely enough many want to go back to the 18th and 19th century way of thinking and living, while they forget why their ancestors fled the European continent.

Extremism on all sites is dangerous and should be avoided.

Not all people stay with the religion they where brought up with. Several people, in their quest in life, go from one to an other religion. Churches are also just a means to come closer to the divine Creator. They are human institutions. The Church of God has nothing to do with dogmatic groups. For god there is only one dogma and that it is the believe that He exists. All the rest can be clarified with reality and found explained in the Words of God, the Bible.
As you say the problem with many people is that they just follow a leader without any thought. But those who choose for God had to consider a lot and mostly think a lot about all sorts of matters, because in each individual (also non believers) the Creator has implanted the way to think, to follow an instinct, and to create new things.)

First of all to make clear to atheists and other people is that not all Christians take Jesus to be God. God is namely a spirit according to the Holy Scriptures, the Bible, who can not die, has no beginning and no end. Jesus had a beginning, was born and really died.
The Bible and those who believe in the Words of those 66 Books look at the Creator of everything, who has given human beings the right to have everything in their own hands. So if it became a mess it is their own doing. They had doubted the Power and the right to command of the Almighty One God, at the beginning of the universe.

Never weave all pieces on the same loom. The United States of America knows it own fundamentalist believers (the extreme and certain conservative evangelist Christians) who use the American Constitution and laws from an imperialist and one side view. They want to see a freedom in the understanding that every one should believe the same as they do, and have the same way of live they choose for. The same fundamentalism we can find in the Muslim population, were some distorted the Islamic teachings to get more power for themselves and to get other people under their thumb. Those fundamentalists on both sides are trying to form an enslaving incorporation of vexing evil and anathema to liberty.
