Added to wish list! This sounds really interesting, and I can always use more "warm blanket" books.

Feel better soon! I wonder if I have something similar; I've been feeling gross today.

I don't know about suburban, but Queens always seems very... inhabited? to me. Lots of people, lots of homes.

WOW. That was... wow. I like the repetition, the way the characterization goes against "common knowledge", and oh that poor mother.

I think part of why I don't generally care for poetry is because it tends to be an art form that benefits from being performed rather than read. And also because what I run into generally doesn't make a lot of sense to me; I'm not great at recognizing symbolism.

Of course, I'm enjoying your selections, so maybe I just don't read enough good poetry. :)

(psst, you know who I am, right?)

Ok, I can comment now... apparently there's an insecure script, and I load most pages with https.

Also, I really liked Lora's poem, and happy anniversary! I like this one too.

I don't usually enjoy poetry, but your selections have been good. :)

I read all the entries, I just don't always comment. :)

I think that's why I liked this poem; I really like narrative, I like stories, I like things that have a thread to them.

I don't like most poetry, but this one was really good.

There's also the Fallout universe, which I believe also inspired Borderlands. The raider actually have Mad Max outfits (and the main character can wear them). The hardcore Fallout fans, the ones who are still playing FO3 and FO:NV, are likely to be excited about Fury Road as well.

I don't have the patience (or the liver) to be a teacher. I'm in college right now, and one person in my science class actually said that if we don't stop global warming, the planet will explode. It about made my HEAD explode, and I'm sure that's not even the worst thing that was said all semester.
