Hi Jill,

That is really amazing. I've asked Compassion UK whether I can have correspondent-kids as well as sponsored, but they don't find correspondents for people at the moment. I guess with less staff they have to limit the things they can branch out into.

And yes, I had a Compassion-surprise this week too. A friend-of-a-friend is visiting the project my Cindy's in and has offered to take a gift and try to meet her! I don't know the lady so haven't asked, but I really hope she takes some video because I'd love to hear Cindy's voice!

Oh I'm so glad for you! The prospect of losing touch with her sounded awful, but now you've got a whole new part of your relationship to look forward to. I guess it could be difficult to begin with, without Compassion to translate, but maybe she's bright and can speak English really well if she finished the programme early. Anyway, praying God's blessing on your relationship with her.

I'm very sorry that she left the programme too soon for you to be able to arrange a visit. I do hope Compassion will pass on your E-mail to her and she'll get in-touch. My sponsored child's mother has requested my friendship on Facebook. Compassion say that because we're both adults it's up to me, but I'm not allowed to mention my child or to tell my child that we're friends, so I don't know what to do really.

I had a gorgeous letter from Jennylyn in the last week or so. She's 12 now and is opening up more too. She was telling me in her last letter how her body is developing. So sweet that she'd want to tell me and it made me feel like 'Mama Sarah' (which is what she calls me).
