This is very neat! We cannot do it where we live, but I've heard from a friend that grew up in Vermont and loved doing this!!

I've been quoting to my Enginerd things that we read a moms' meeting lately. We jest, but it is interesting how some of it, he does appreciate and other things bug him. It's an interesting line. Often he has said, you're the teacher, I trust your judgement. But then when I have described something, he might later think I'm crazy!

I'm going to EVENTUALLY do a review of both. Simply Classical is Memoria Press' new line of curriculum packages for special needs, bouncing off of the book written of the same title. http://www.memoriapress.com/curriculum/special-ne... These Leveled grades are perfect for my slight of attention span free willed daughter and I hear from others that this has made spectrum children eager to learn as well. Climbing Parnassus I haven't read yet... but it's next on my non-fiction homeschool list. Memoria Press also sells it, http://www.memoriapress.com/curriculum/educationa... but you could also find it elsewhere. I got mine through ThriftBooks (which I now love and am affiliate for - they save me SO MUCH!).

I'm not familiar with the first two. Interesting recommendations. I cannot even count how many times I have read TWTM. I've recently acquire Climbing Parnassus and I enjoyed Simply Classical as well. Good for all parents.

I love Liz Curtis Higgs. I completely blame her for my addiction to Christian Historical Fiction. ;) I've been doing more cross stitching than reading lately. But I guess my books are The Red Pyramid (co-reading with my six year old), I'm also reading the second Doon novel.
