Oh my god, this prompted me to find my old Livejournal. Both of them - the standard angsty stream of consciousness one and the secret Harry Potter fanfic one (Tonks ftw!). My most recent post is February 2011. This is terrifying.

Wow. This was a corner of the Internet that was so ... me. So utterly, hopelessly nerdy, so feministy, so sarcastic, and so alarmingly queer. I will miss having my inner self literally reflected onto blog posts, but funnier, and done by someone else, and with less navel-gazing.

Thank you Nicole and Mallory and all the folks here - it's been like finding a wonderful home and safe place in the vast wasteland of the Internet. You'll be missed. Please let us know where we can find your next projects so we can buy them and read them and watch them and reminisce about the blindingly awesome days of the Toast.

I feel like the bigger question for me is what is up with Adam's leg? Was Adam 1.0 also not a success? Is the eye in his belly supposed to be a belly button? He also has quite the 10ish pack of abs/ribs. Very nice that he's spent his short time on Earth doing crunches and planks.

As a bonus, Season 2 includes Olivia Wilde being all hot and bisexual. THAT is definitely worth the time spent, for sure.

Mine was clydefan9 - I was a big fan of the Houston Rockets, and particularly Clyde Drexler at the time. It also meant everyone online thought I was a dude. Followed up by marinergs9 - I sailed with Girl Scouts for several years, and 9 was my favorite number, obvi.

We did tone of voice, so my wife was really good at Gollum, whereas I was better at Treebeaed. But we didn't do accents really, just the feeling of the character, given that neither of us can do a particularly strong English accent

Might I recommend, if you have a buddy (spouses, etc., are very good for this), reading aloud to each other before bed? It is very relaxing, and fun and gives you something to talk about in addition to the normal stuff.

My wife and I have read Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings (great books, but not great for reading aloud - would not recommend), and are currently on Golden Compass. It has been a lot of fun!

He doesn't quite have the lesbian smirk (which is clutch), but he definitely has the like, steel-plated jawline of stoic secret emo-ness that is a dead giveaway

I agree that Ryan Atwood is a very dykey name, and also sounds like the kind of name you could make up to hide your girlfriend to your not-so-sexually accepting relatives.

I definitely have never referred to a girlfriend as "Ryan" - nope, never happened. I also have definitely not continued to use that name as my imaginary fiance while traveling in a country where I got hit on a lot. Especially after the inspiration for "Ryan" and I broke up.

None of this is real.
