Now I want to be a professional zip liner. Anyone out there hiring for that, let me buy you a cup of coffee.

A moving story, well told, for a great cause. Thank you for sharing!

The fact that Batman keeps a stash of Kryptonite in the Bat Cave against the day when Superman might go bad says more about Batman than it does about Superman. Batman: Wisely covering all contingencies, or manifesting his deeply ingrained (and pathetic) paranoia? I lean toward the latter, which gives Superman the win on principle (he believes in the basic goodness of humanity, whereas Bat Man's entire outlook was sadly twisted by childhood events and by growing up under the hard gaze of an unyielding, pitiless Englishman). Also, Lana and Lois played some role in shaping Clark's motivation, no?

Older, dumber, uglier, shorter, smart-assier ... pick one. Or all of the above. I am that.

Maybe you just needed a break. Now, maybe it can be "new" again for you. I'm older and dumber than you, but I can say that I felt compelled to start my blog because it gave me a voice -- however Whovian. If there's a Horton out there listening, great. If not, I can always listen to my own YOPP. Yours, too. And a handful of others I could name but won't. Pass the beezlenut juice, would you? And just write, man. Just write.
