Welcome to the crew! It's always nice to see a fellow opera lover. :)

On the Lips of Children is so creepy! And it certainly sounds interesting; maybe I'll pick it up in the future. There are so many good ones for December.

As for how to make the cover wars better I think the winning author should get a prize. Not anything huge but maybe a coupon for a free round of social media promotion. Then there's way more incentive to join for authors!

Thanks so much for signing up! I really do appreciate it. I also appreciate the free publicity on your post. The more the merrier, after all! If you think any of your book blogger friends would like the challenge as well I'd be so grateful if you could recommend it to them. I need all the publicity I can get. :)

Wow, you're way more ambitious than I am! I'm only signed up for one challenge (my own). I hate to blatantly self-promote but if you're doing all those challenges, you might as well have a go at mine. It's called The Mad Reviewer Reading & Reviewing Challenge and you don't have to do anything special for it. You just sign up for a goal of [x] many reviews on one of the four levels and if you reach it you're entered in a draw for bookish prizes. It's really easy to do seeing as you already review so many books.

If you want more information, it's the post linked to below.

Do I agree with your opinion, Mark? Not necessarily. But you have the right to express it. People also have the right to criticize it and/or react to it.

I'm not going to tackle the nature of the remark but rather the context. If you say something personal on @Masq you're representing your business and all those other people you deal with. (Including me, to a certain extent.) If you say something on your personal account, well that's just you saying that. It doesn't reflect on others. I'm not saying that everything on @Masq's account is business, but it certainly seems that way to people who aren't familiar with the intimate workings of your site. The average person isn't going to separate your personal opinions from the opinions of The Masquerade Crew as a whole.

I think it was inappropriate to comment on something personal on what is for most of the time a business Twitter account. I'm certainly not going to abandon you or The Masquerade Crew because of one mistake, but I think in the future you should separate your Twitter accounts. It will prevent incidents like this in the future.

I've never actually seen a book with a premise like this. I may just pick it up in the future now!

Thank you! I personally prefer print books over ebooks, but I'm certainly more receptive to ebooks now that I have a Kindle.

I'd have to agree with acm05. Which is definitely weird because I don't usually like covers with people on them. Yet the clock design, the colour scheme and the tagline all make it work. 15 Minutes looks like my kind of book!

If I won one of the eight gift cards I'd probably save it up until I get more gift cards and then buy books. What can I say? I'm a book blogger.
