Ooo my husband and I went on a vacation to Seattle and Vancouver two summers ago! We started by staying in a hotel south of Seattle, and spent a whole day at Mount Rainier. It was probably my favorite part of the trip. We spent another day in Seattle itself, walking a lot around Seattle Center (we didn't end up going up in the Space Needle, it was so busy and we didn't want to spend the money...). We had lunch at Pikes Place Market, then hiked up to the Seattle Public Library. It was huge!! Then we took the elevated train back to Seattle Center. On our way out of town we stopped at Kerry Park on the north side, which has a fantastic view of the city and Mt Rainier if the weather is right.

We have friends in Lynden, which is a cute little town just south of the Canadian border. I've heard there are great places to see in Bellingham too. In Vancouver I was mostly there for a conference at UBC, but we stayed in North Vancouver and spent time in Stanley Park and the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Granville Island honestly wasn't that impressive to me. We didn't have time to go inside the Vancouver Public Library, but the outside architecture is stunning.

So yeah as a booklover, I'd highly recommend checking out the libraries while you're there. :) The only times I read were on the plane and sometimes in the car. I always had my Kindle with me, but there was usually so much to see (the whole drive to Mt Rainier was beautiful) that I didn't want to miss out on those views!

Yes yes yes these albums are great!! I'm amazed how quickly my 2- and 4-year old daughters learn the lyrics to songs (do you wanna build a snowman??), and ones like these that use straight scripture are so important for them to hide in their hearts! Even as adults, my husband and I love the "Glory Revealed" albums produced by Mac Powell, which are also straight scripture. Thanks for sharing these today!
