For some reason I can't log out of my wordPress account to comment, so this isn't "caddiemurray" but Stacy A: ...
I'm 52, quite emotionally and spiritually mature, have made my share of mistakes and learned from them. One thing I've learned for sure is that the mind isn't teflon, it's more like a sponge. We can fool ourselves into thinking things don't affect us, but they do, they're in there deep, and they do affect how we think, what our actions are, etc. The book of Proverbs is full of examples of what is wise and what is foolish, and sexual sin is ranked pretty high as foolish. Jesus said that if we even look at another person with lust, it's the same as if we'd had sex with them. So there is a correlation between what goes on in our minds and actual sin. The Bible is pretty clear that our thoughts shape who we are.
In the end, it's our own choice whether to read this or any other book. May I suggest praying about it? I don't mean that in a snarky way, or to be holier-than-thou or judgmental. I just wonder sometimes if we asked God what He thinks about our entertainment choices what His answer would be.

This is hilarious, and oh, so true! At the moment I can't think of the last funny thing I read in a novel (other than my own WIP) ... I guess I read stuff that's too serious! Now going in search of a humorous novel ...

Hey, if they're willing to pay for it, yeah! Go for it!
It's funny, but people often do seem to prefer paying a little for something they could just as easily get free -- I guess they figure if it's free it's not worth much, but if they have to pay for it, it must be good.
Hmmm ... wonder if I should do this for my fictional blog ...?

Okay, I really don't mean to be a jerk about this but ... I don't understand why someone would pay to get a blog delivered to their Kindle when you can read it online for free? I would only pay if that was the only way to get the blog ... so I'm not sure I get this concept ...

I think I need a little more info on doing this ... what are the specific steps? I know you have some listed, but they seem a little broad or vague to me. How do you get from the person's automatic thought to the assumption? If I said someone didn't like me, and you asked me "What's so bad about that," I don't think I would automatically get to the next level of "Whenever I open up ..." I would probably say, "Well, I like this person and I thought we could be good friends, but it's not happening. That's bad because I would like them to be friends with me ..." How do you get to the underlying assumption? (I'm a little dense sometimes, lol)
