That ending. I definitely should have seen it coming, but I REALLY didn't.

Hm... This is actually a tough call.

Ponified DragonLance would kick all sorts of ass!

RD as Deryn fits remarkably well.

Then I exercise my right to wish they had more normal skin colors and only having their clothes/hair be indicative of their pony appearance.

...I really hope the FiM team pulled off making this movie good.

I'm... going to hold onto my position of being 'cautiously optimistic.' I'm not super fond of the premise itself, but if anyone can make it work, it's the people who made me love cartoon ponies in the first place. Besides, worst case scenario, the movie will just be considered non-canon by the fans and ignored forever.

Oddly enough, the human thing doesn't concern me as much as the fact that they look like human-pony hybrids.

Probably Pinkamena, but not because of superior power. Twilight would instantly trust Pinkie, regardless of the condition she's in if she saw her, giving Pinkamena the initiative. All our adorable little psychotic would have to do is drug her with one of her nifty cupcakes (which she puts WAY too much dizzy stuff into) and go to work while Twi's comatose.

Pfft. DBZ isn't canon. Kid Goku from the original is the strongest!

#1 on the list: Discord, of course. His character aside, he could easily take over everything if he played his cards right. He almost did.

I think powered-up Chrysalis is probably #2. When she was still munching on Shining, she was definitely the most powerful in the room. Plus, her abilities at that point would have theoretically been consistent. She, like Discord, wouldn't rely on big bursts of power to take out an enemy, and I think that if Luna burst into the room right after Celestia went down, that Chrysalis could have brought her down just as easily.

#3 goes to Alicorn Amulet Trixie. Before she started her *ahem* sanity deterioration, she could whip off powerful spells one after another without any sign of exertion. Her only fault is that she very quickly started to break down after she banished Twi.

#4, and the second character to not be relying on temporary power increases, is Celestia. Yes, Celestia is below Trixie. Aside from her clash with Chrysalis, she's never really been shown to have any real power of her own other from moving the sun around (which is no small feat) and making pretty holograms. I personally believe that after she banished Luna and lost the elements, that she lost the majority of her power as well. She couldn't even stumble Nightmare Moon or Discord when they decided it was their time to shine. She relies on whoever is holding the elements.

And #5: Twilight. With the help of her friends and the elements, she can top this list, but she isn't as powerful alone. However, she's still the most magically qualified unicorn (or second most qualified alicorn) that we've seen. Sombra could have possibly been this in his prime, but when we see him in his shadow form, he relies more on tricks for his attempt on the empire. Through the series, we've seen Twi consistently pull off impressive feats of magic, with her skill steadily increasing from episodes 1 to 60 something, and there's no reason to believe that she didn't get a significant power up when she sprouted wings. She solidly takes number five on my list.
