I also heard Merry Go Round, experienced a sense of awe and enlightenment, and peeled out of my car as soon as I reached the drive way to get inside and figure out who had sung it. I had forgotten about the gloriousness of youtubing her and her music. I am comforted to know that there are people out there who will write all my feelings and thoughts down without me having to use my own brain power. Going to go listen to her again and enjoy.

Please can you be my mentor??? I empathized with 100 percent with this, but also, I am always happy to see someone who has had similar life experiences out there writing and being and living. Thank you!

My new mantra is "I am a hopeful pimple." I tried to draw a picture in paint of it but it was looking decidely not like a pimple.

My SO was encountered in the wild. At a bar, but through a mutual friend. I also apparently got his number that night and then never called him. Happened upon him in the bar again and I drunk-invited him to go a see a movie we both wanted to see the next day. So that works?

I was just assigned to read the first part of Purgatorio and Cato is the first guy Dante meets when he gets out of hell! How did you know I needed this???

Guuuys. Both my parents were clowns when I was growing up, and so was my extended family. I am sad they have such a bad rep due to books and movies. I feel like people would appreciate clowns more if they took time to walk a parade with them or went shopping for grease paint and magic tricks. Just don't approach any clowns hiding in gutters and you're good.

I had an abnormal fear of bloody Mary as a kid and on through adulthood. While living in my old house, I would get crippling paranoia whenever I even saw a mirror out of the corner of my eye in even slight darkness. I would have to turn on ALL the lights and not stare at the mirror or think about the ceiling trap door in the bathroom where I knew the creepy mirror lady lived when the house was not dark. (If you think about her she will come.) Thankfully, I have cats, and cats are really good at breaking up over-active imaginations. Someday perhaps I will write an elaborate account of how I broke this fear, but that would involve actually writing as opposed to procrastination.

I also live in the frozen North and needed to double check the veracity of your statement. I typed "crocodile winter" in Google image search. No images of reptiles creeping around in snow appeared. Just lots of boots and purses, so we are safe! Unless that's their cover...

It's about a little bunny running away from a big bunny.

I wonder how shows like Dr. Who are captioned when all the sciencey sounding nonsense is said in rapid fire incoherence. I'm only half-deaf so I have like 50 years before I'll find out, but I also have worst vision ever + ten year old glasses and would never sit that close to the television.
