First, thanks for all your great insight and taking your time to share your knowledge and experience.
You cannot institute change without solid communication and buy in. - Earlier in my career, I continually tried to implement change without solid communication and feedback from my team and in the end it just left me frustrated and without the change I envisioned. When I accepted the reality that it was me that had to change, I began placing more focus on the front end of projects, including thorough communication and feedback from the team, and as a whole we all became more engaged and changes took root.
