But as in films: probably 'Archipelago', 'The Deep Blue Sea' and 'Only Lovers Left Alive'. In none of these does he play a perfect character (in TDBS he's a right arsehole, in fact) but the acting! The limbs/cheekbones/eyes/hair!

Also he does a good turn as F. Scott Fitzgerald in 'Midnight in Paris'.

I re-read Sunshine at least once a year. It's my ultimate comfort book.

Things I'm reading: My friend J is starting a new blog to showcase her thoughts on language, ecology, literature and gender. There is just one tiny little post up there right now but I can't wait to see all the awesomeness she's going to be posting. https://niamhfern.wordpress.com

And this thing has lots I want to comment on and critique: http://www.topologymagazine.org/essay/editorial/o...

Rita Nakashima Brock is a superhero in her own right! Theology (and generally, the world) is so much richer for her kickass feminist work.

Haunting sounds infinitely preferable.

No doubt the German would translate to Über-Ornamental-Book-Regret-Ghost-House?

Yes - am finding it a little over-acted but there's just so much juicy drama. Also, a kickass nun character that reminds me very much of Nicola Griffith's novel 'Hild'.
