A useful thing that I've found is that teachers are much more understanding of and proactive with the term PTSD instead of RAD. (This at our therapist's suggestion.) Since attachment sounds like the parents' fault, traumatic stress put the issue more where it belongs: trauma before they came home. And also your dealing with it becomes therapeutic parenting rather than attachment failure. It really helps a ton just to alter the language slightly.
