I love the sunrise photos. And thanks for hosting! As a writer who is diving back into blogging after a long hiatus, it's awesome to see what others are doing.

The Anne of Green Gables books and movies are great. As a daddy to for girls, I've read the books and seen the movies, my fair share of times. Glad they make this story fun for dad's too. Right now, our family is spending quite a bit of time in the car, so we are listening to a number of audio books together and having a blast. It's been a good way to keep reading during this busy season of life :)

I love the way you do reviews. This sounds like a good book, and your post is an excellent reminder to me that I need to pray more often.

Very well said, and a great metaphor for how we are to show Christ's love!

Hey Marissa,
These are such great thoughts. I love how you read to get a glimpse of the heart of others. I've read some wonderful books written by fellow Christ-followers and have learned a lot from reading books by those who don't know Jesus yet. I loved hearing your perspective on this--very refreshing!

That is such a great quote by Ravi Zacharias. I love the soft approach. I've heard many loud street preachers--some yelling through bull-horns in the middle of the city. It's cold, impersonal, and some go as far as being rude.

The other day, I returned to my car, and found that someone had rolled up a beautifully written poem about Jesus, and put it in the handle of my car door. Even this did not sit well with me. It felt like a boundary violation. The poem would have made a wonderful blog post, or topic of conversation if we were having coffee together. But I had no idea whom this person was, how to contact him or her if I wanted to continue the conversation, and never gave this person permission to build into my life. It felt almost like I was being advertised to. I think the key is to make friends, and allow the spiritual conversations to flow into the friendships.

Such a great and challenging post. You certainly have me thinking.
