I found your blog today when I tried to find who to give credit to for the "Inner vision ... Art Heals" quote.
My husband and I were visiting our son in Blacksburg this past weekend and happened to find out about the mosaic's fate. It's never a visit to B'burg without enjoying the mosaic. I was brought to tears seeing what was to be. We even stepped into Steve Hill's "office" and asked him face to face about saving the mosaic. He was pretty blase saying that we were welcome to try and save it if we had the money. It makes me feel sick to think of it. At the very least I hope that some of the pieces were rescued.
