Just finally catching up! We haven't been to that cafe for ages (since it was warm! ;-) ) - looks like you had a great visit. Both Barbie & Bender were so good - and the food looked delicious.

Oh - and I think you;re doing really well with the new camera already - great photos! :-)

I have to admit, I'm such a chicken that I'm afraid to go kayaking by myself, never mind with a dog! (although I don't think a kayak would hold up a Dane...who knows? ;-) ) - I just keep thinking of the kayak flipping! :-)

Wow - looks like a LOT of dogs!!! Funny - I got some photos & report on this walk from some Dane friends living in Perth - probably one of them was that black Dane you saw - it's great getting 2 diff perspectives from 2 friends!

Hah! Wait until you've seen Honey's! I'm sure they'll trump Barbie's nails! :-) I always get blisters after I cut them...and they're black too so you can never see the quick!!

I know it might be controversial but I've always been grateful that Honey's breeders removed all their puppies' dew claws so we never have to worry about them ripping off!

Honey doesn't like her nails being done either but she will tolerate it and lie still to let me do it. I've cut her quick a few times too - and she was quite sensitive for a while after that but as you said, lots of yummy treats & short sessions brought her round...
