Oh, Florinda... your post speaks so deeply to me. I have been blogging since 2003 and I have seen so many ups and downs and bloggers come and go. I have met friends, quickly stopped following blogs that seem to only ever want to poke the drama llama and, most of all, I have enjoyed the sense of community I have found on the internet through blogging. Book blogging was something I branched off into after following Monkey's lead and honestly, I had no clue there were other book blogs out there or that it was even CALLED Book blogging. I was just blogging in two places! One place, I rambled about life and the other place I just kept track of the books I was reading because this was pre-librarything and pre-goodreads. It was my book journal, only it was on the internet. I was delighted when I'd stumble across other book blogs because I could talk books with people.
Only now, most book blogs seem to always be marketing something, and I just don't care about that. I love when people talk openly and honestly about the books. The few book blogging books I follow now have posts like that. Since I always blogged without caring where I fit in, I feel slightly lucky that I'm not surrounded by the drama that arises anymore.
I do miss blogging like it used to be. Quiet, passionate and raw. But I'm also so thankful for the friendships this crazy thing has brought me. ;)

Christmas festivals of any kind just make me SO happy. I would love to see more of that sort of thing around here. Hope it goes well!

I didn't end the book with a sigh, I ended with tears! This book was brilliant and made me so emotional and I hate both the book and the author for that. ;) Sobbing for hours over various parts of the books while having a horrendous head cold is NOT fun.

This is NOT an entry. ;) I just wanted to thank you both for the interview and the author for one of the most beautifully heart-wrenching stories I have read in my lifetime.

All these comparisons to Twilight I am seeing are making me nervous. I had picked up the book to read it this evening but felt like something else and then I hopped on the internet, discovered some new blogs (hi!) and am seeing everyone post about Firelight today and comparing it to Twilight. Oh, dear! I'm going to give it a chance once I get the last two books of another series out of the way. ;)
