I have not heard of summer apples! What a great idea for a primary school to do (as a recently retired teacher of 35 years, I wish we had done this!)

Classics...there is never enough time, allotted by me, for this genre. I enjoy it so much! Loved The Hobbit, and am surprised at those on your list that I still have not read personally. Time is wasting...

I never liked The Great Gatsby or To Kill a Mockingbird as much as I should have, and I think it's in part because they were required reading in High School, I'm not a big fan of being told what to do. ;)

I have been so disappointed in the books Margaret Atwood has written since...the last decade or so. I LOVED The Robber Bride, Cat's Eye, Surfacing. But, I have no patience with her sci-fi stuff "of late". Bless you for having the inclination to pick it up.

I just saw that June is Audio Books Month; who knew? Sometimes I wonder what planet I'm on. xo

I succumbed to The Girl on The Train though I normally don't like best sellers. Gone girl disappointed me sorely...at any rate, I thought the revelations of this one quite good. I kept eagerly turning pages until the very end, and the conclusion was satisfactory to me.

As for Little Big, it would be so fun to read it together. :)

It seems that I can't leave 2014 behind; there are too many books I've seen that I want to read before moving on to 2015. My list is similar to yours in several places, particularly The Light We Cannot See. Right now, I'm reading Michael Faber's The Book Of Strange New Things, and it's quite weird and marvelous. But, I've heard fabulous things about all the ones on your list. (Although personally, I'd leave comedienne's behind.)

I love that cup of hot chocolate, would like one right now, as a matter of fact. What a long week it's been for me here in Illinois, although more gray/drizzle than ice and snow. I love how you arranged your pictures into such a pretty collage!

The Cathedral by the Sea sounds the most appealing to me from your selection. Although, I do remember enjoying Angels and Demons, the historical saga in medieval Spain compels me.

Who knew there were so many things availabe? I am so of the 1960's (when I grew up), and definitely a stranger to this world. Thanks for filling me in.

I like Finnikin of The Rock, such wonderful detail which leaves a lovely mood for me when I look at it.
