I love this!! Like you, I want to embrace aging gracefully, not denying the wrinkles or the gray hairs.

I use a filter for shading on IG - just to keep the “images looking the same.” Some kind of feedback about keeping images looking good across a blogger’s social media. But, if I do something like write a blog post for Rosie’s link-up, I’ll post the original picture.

That said, I also didn’t know I could filter wrinkles, etc. from simply my smartphone! 😳 I am so far behind, technologically...

Great points - like you, I desire authenticity. I want people to be authentic and real with me, and they learn very quickly that I will be authentic with them. Given that so much in our lives are doctored or false images, authenticity is really important!

Thanks for these great thoughts!

First - I hear you on the interruptions!! Hahahaha, that's why I got my first blog post in two weeks' time up - yesterday. Before everyone was awake. And, the other reason I didn't get an opportunity to link up last week!

Secondly, I like your little negotiator/photographer's style. However, I think your family picture is absolutely adorable. And, not too badly out of focus!

Finally, yay for being able to assist the young ones in helping follow the Mass. I felt as though, even single-handed with the two today, I was able to do the same thing - help my son follow more of the Mass than usual. It's so nice to feel productive when we are able to do instruction in real time!

This is such a great explanation of how the Morning Basket works in your homeschooling setting! I need too share this with my friends who also homeschool! Thank you!!

I love how you identified Edith as a "very geriatric nearly..." It made me laugh, and made me feel more at ease with how quickly we have our kids baptized. Although, our son was four months old, and our daughter was one month old.

I suspect Baby3 will be just mere weeks old because we move about a month and a half after his birth - and, his Godfather is supposed to move, too. But, we'll just have to wait and see how things shake out!

Happy Baptism-Anniversary to Edith!!

I'm right there with you, regarding the haircut!

I didn't write down my Saint name when I did the generator yesterday. So, I guess I'll have to try it again another time. But, the word of the year was "inhale," and I'm still trying to determine *what* I'm supposed to inhale - cookies, chocolate, my odor from not having showered in days as I chase children? ;-)

I love the comfy look you rocked today!

Anyway, happy New Year to you and your family!!

Such cute outfits!! And, it is always a deep-breath moment when we switch parishes, but it’s definitely a perk when kids get to see their friends. Yay for a great experience!

Definitely praying for your special intention!! I love your daughter's look - everyone looks so "into fall weather" clothes, and I am slightly jealous. Although, not too jealous, yet...

Heading off to click on a couple of your links now! ;-)

Look at the super cute picture of some of my favorite bloggers! If we are stationed back up in that area, I am all OVER that blogging conference.

And, "they" say that clothing styles are cyclical, so if we hang on to our fad clothing (not that I have anything that would qualify), it'll be back in style about 15 years later. Keeping that rule of thumb tucked away for my kids someday.

Finally, I didn't even notice the toes, until you pointed them out. ;-) Everyone looked good in their Sunday best! :-)

Thank you, Rosie! I am right there with you - trying to figure out *how* to fix our broken world, and more importantly, how to teach our children to wade through this broken world.

I'm so glad you heard a priest who condemned racism today! I was at the chapel right before Mass started, only to be called home since my husband had been called in to work (he was home with a sick kiddo), so I am going to our local civilian parish tonight. My heart is so heavy right now - and, like you, I am wondering where to go from here.

Except using my platform - using my blog space, and prayer. And, leading the next generation to continue to face adversity head on, and be not afraid.

Thank you for the update!! I hope to be back later this week to link up, but for now, know that I am keeping you all in prayers!

And, if you think about it... Edith looks adorable in her Sunday Best this week. 😉 I can only imagine how difficult it is to keep all the wires attached, now that she's old enough to know how to pull at things, but too young to care about the word "no"!
