That was remarkably well-mannered for a harsh review, pointing out all of your reasons. I would have been more likely to say, "gah, horrible!" Books like this are bad for me beyond just the moment of reading them because they put me in a rotten mood for picking up anything afterwards.

Thanks for the warning (and taking one for the team). ;)

I think Dodie's been up to a whole lot of no good in the Reluctant Hallelujah. :) It sounds like sort of a fun book? Definitely crazy!

Wentworth Hall totally reminded me of one of those nighttime soap operas like Dallas or Dynasty, just as a period YA. Love it and added it to my wishlist!

I love Julie James' books, I gobble them up and re-read them. She's so smart and they're sexy like crazy. And those covers! Sure, everyone can say it's just a "fold of the fabric" or "trick of light," but I consider this cover to have a little extra "enhancement." *waggles eyebrows suggestively*

For once, AH and Lethal have me stumped. I've never read either series.

Ha, I wonder what it says about me that the only books I want to read for the challenge are the smutty paranormal Christmas stories? ;) Thanks for the list!!

I'm not a huge fan of romantic suspense stuff, but I really like Cindy Gerard's stuff and dang, I love those BOI's, in spite of that dorky name. :D I'm sort of sad they're over but it'll be good to finally get to Joe.

I loved Blood Bound and really am anxious for the next one, but is it really awful of me to hope that Shadow Bound isn't as freaking long? It sounds so good but sheesh. My attention span isn't what it used to be!

Gee, I was all set to offer Erika my condolences on her daughter turning 16 and then she yanked the rug out! My son's 19 and it's just painful.

I'm soo waiting for The Shadow Reader too. I keep going to buy it and then get foiled when I find out I have to wait. Why these releases can't be timed around my boredom really is a mystery to me.

I just caved and bought the first book in this Kelley Armstrong series even though I have zero time to read it. It's the first Armstrong book I've read but it's the first one I ever had any hope of getting in on at the beginning of a series so I went with it. So I have to read it before this one comes out or I'm toast.

Um. I didn't know what was going on with Erika's pick but that section scared me until I read the description. I love Laurenston's books, but don't shoot me, I didn't realize she had a new one coming out. I hope you enjoy it in your solitude! :)

This has such a beautiful cover - I found it on GR by thumbing through some other recommendations and put it on my wishlist because it sounded so good! I love your pick. :)

I've never read a Patricia Briggs, mostly because she always seems to be hip deep in the middle of her series'. I keep waiting for her to start a new one, I don't want to have to catch up. :$

I'm bummed that the Disillusionists are wrapping up. I heard that some movie/television studio has optioned the rights for the next year - maybe a movie? There's sort of a superhero glut though. It'll be nice to have a little ending point, I really liked the novella Crane did in the Wild & Steamy anthology.

Aaaand, yes! I'm waiting for Hallowed too! I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed Unearthly until I went back and reread my own review of it. D'oh. I may have to read the whole book again.

I've only finished the first one, I need to start shuffling my TBR pile. I didn't realize this was coming out so soon!
