I cried at that exact same scene in Elf the other day and caught my daughter watching me, because apparently I cried during it last year. At least I'm consistent. She also busted me for tearing up during Home Alone when Kevin is reunited with his mom. Who doesn't cry at that scene?!? Only a monster, I say.

Field trips kill me every time. I chaperone when I feel particularly clingy. Then I get so utterly exhausted from being around all that noise and chaos that I decide my kid is old enough to go-it-alone next time and it's way easier to send her off.

My 18 month old has been licking the fridge. She knows she isn't supposed to, so she waits until I'm looking and then quickly does it. Every time I feel like she's simultaneously clever and a doorknob. Kids.

Awesome. I can totally relate. I come up with at least 10 amazing blog post ideas each week that never see the light of day, let alone a piece of paper. In part because I can never find a pen. (forgive me if I just commented like 6 times on your site - it keeps wigging out when I try to submit my comment so I hit the button a bunch of times and now I probably look like a wacko)
