A black coloured pencil, yeah. At least at my polling station.

Opinions on the "take a biro so they can't rub out your mark and rig it for remain" bs that UKIP is spouting? Because I am honestly astounded at the ridiculousness - like, that's exactly why they give us coloured pencils? Because you can't rub them out?

This is 100% the most Toastean thing ever to exist, and it is glorious.

Isn't it, though? I mean, I am notoriously weak for rom coms, but it's still one of my faves, and the soundtrack is stellar.

THEY GIVE THIS TO 15-YEAR-OLD ITALIAN KIDS TO STUDY. AT LEAST AT THE SCHOOL I WORKED IN.

(I feel like it was in Modern English not the original, but still. STILL.)

(Not as bad as teaching the 17-year-olds Joyce and Woolf, though. At least Chaucer is straightforward.)

Old French is definitely easier. It is much more similar to modern French than Middle English is to Modern English. And you can see the influence of French (or, I mean, Norman dialect but close enough) on Middle-and-onwards English in the words that we've kept but have disappeared from French.

RE: London: museums are free, if that's your jam. Natural History, British and Science are personal faves. London Dungeons are also a great time.

And definitely go to Skye! It's one of my favourite places in the world. I don't remember the name, because I last went when I was 12, but there's a castle where you can go on the lake and there are seals!

I feel dirty now. Like I need to scrub my skin with a wire brush and bleach.
