Yeaahh, this sounds SO good, I can't wait to read it either!! Since you ask, no, I have not ever read the original Wizard of Oz. I've always wanted to though. I wonder how similar it is to the movie.

I've always wanted to try out one of these Bloggiestas. I like the idea of motivating each other to do some housecleaning on our blogs. I hope you managed to get a lot done over the weekend, Alex!

It's nice to hear that this one is a duology (kind of tired of seeing longer series). I also recall people thinking highly of the first book so I really hope this sequel is just as good!

Humm, I almost always hear such great things about this author. But I can tell you already that I would NOT like that writing style you described. I wonder if she writes all her books that way. I'm curious what the stupid motive was. They don't sound like brilliant kids at all. Sorry this one was so lame, Alex!

Ooh, I had kind of forgotten about If You Find Me until now. It would definitely be outside my comfort zone, as well, but it seems like everyone loved it and it made a big impact on them. Also, I really, really hope I can read Finnikin of the Rock this year. Now that all the books are out in the series, I have no excuse!

AAH I love Leslie Knope so much, too!! She's awesome and I love how she's such a good friend, as well. Really though, I think this entire list is made of awesome even though I haven't even become acquainted with every single one of the ladies on it yet.

I just watched Jennifer Lawrence get the Oscar for Best Actress for this one! It really does sound like there are a ton of unique and fun characters in this one. I think I might like it, actually! WIll have to wait until it's out on dvd though.

Huh, yeah that cover is totally misleading. I never would have thought that this was what this book was about. I just finished a book - The Mad Scientist's Daughter - in which the MC reminded me a lot of your description of Anna. She was very distant and I had a hard time forming an emotional connection with her. And she would return time and time again to the worst guys... ugh. Thanks for the helpful review, Alex - I'll be staying away from this one.

Ehhh, not into love triangles and that is especially true for ones involving dead husbands, haha! Yup, not for me. Glad you sort of enjoyed it though.
