Though the percentages seem high the majorities seem to be falling on the right side of each question - and that's what surprises me. I guess I went into this survey with really negative expectations.

It's sad that a majority of those polled have been in ministry for more than 16 years, yet more than 50% have been with their current church for 5 years or less. What's causing the high turnover?

I always liked that poem. Great connection between that and the Israelites. This is making me stop and reflect on if I've ever truly seen God's footprints.

I would like to add that none of us need to wait for God to reveal His "calling" on our lives. His calling is visible in the Bible sitting right next to us. He's already told us what to do. Our job is to just figure out how and rely on God to carry it out. Scary stuff!

I dread meetings of any kind. Mostly because I know the leader is not putting any heart into it. It's just a motion or an obligation. It's so sad because so many have potential to be motivational. At least Michael Scott puts thought and heart into his meetings...

And sometimes that's all our sphere of influence needs us to be... ourselves. I'm recovering from two mistakes I've made for years. 1) Not being myself, and 2) Not constantly bettering myself in all I do.
