My daughter yen has only been here three years two, along with her younger sister... That makes seven kids here...so I get what you are saying. I don't know " what" issues she has in learning...although I know they are there.
It's tricky isn't it? We feel so protective of these souls who have already been through so much... Yet we struggle with exposing them to criticism... Bravo for seeking out some answers. I mean it.
As an adoptive momma I have been waiting for a post like this from you... I have wondered about this for awhile...just what you are going through. You are great mother.
So where do you go from here?

Ps....explode the code books really helped yen with reading... And brain pop has a English as a second language course...and even after three years here, it really helped yen and her sister....they have a free trial too.

I love the shot of the lettuce and drip on the faucet...speaking of the lettuce... Aside from the type of it is most likely dee-lish because of the frosts...it made it through so the sugars are more prevalent...like planting peas in February. I think this is mostly because there really isn't any red lettuces that are not bitter.
Thanks for reminding me I still have carrots out in the garden... My seven kids have yet to find them...yet my sinks are still dirty, lol

HEy you should dip those leaves in melted beeswax to preserve them.
We did it last week and it is just awesome.
You aren't too far south... and actually the leaves weren't super amazing this year... maybe it was all the rain.
I dunno.
but you should most definitely dip those leaves.
