I have in the past and I really enjoy doing them in moderation. So times they have really great questions like top10 Tuesday. I also like stopping by other blogs who participate and having convos and finding new blogs to follows.
I sometimes note the topic for the week and use it at a different time with a different formatting. A lot of time the theme is interesting it's just to much of the same ol' thing.
I do however think memes are a great thing for new bloggers. When your just starting blogging it's a great way to connect with the community as well just get used to blogging in general.
It also a great filler if your personal life is taking up more of your tine than usual. Sometimes I will write a really quick meme post so my blog doesn't go inactive for to long when I'm really focused on school.
However I get your points and I will for sure be using memes a lot less.

Yikes! I couldn't imagine not being able to see for so long. I've been wearing glasses since I was 3 so about 16 years now. I'm so used to my glasses that it doesn't really bother me anymore. I have contacts as well but I don't wear them. I have severe mixed astigmatisms meaning one of my eyes is nearsighted while the other is farsighted. I literally wouldn't be able to see straight without my glasses!

I love Holly Black but this was my favorite of her completed series! I really liked that it doesn't follow the "typical" YA storyline.

I've read the Sea of Trolls before! I never knew it was a series or Indonesian before. I would love to read more diversely from other countries in the future. I've been wary before though of translated work sometimes its hard to understand it fully because it wasn't translated that well. I've noticed that a lot of the time books from other countries that are in series are never released in the states and it makes it harder to want to read their work if you know its never going to be finished!
