Not sure I have done anything frugal this week - oops! Although we have been hunting on selling sites for some cheap shelves to put in the shed to keep everything organised - cheaper than buying new!

Some great tips - I like the idea of keeping a summer bag in the boot - I have a little cosmetic bag which I keep spare wipes, suncream, lip balm etc in because I often change bags depending on where we are going and I can just grab that little bag and go.

Well done on the bargain plants! I bought a whole watermelon too this week rather than prepackaged slices as it works out massively cheaper!

I always find the cinema an expensive night out tbh - great idea to save money on a local cinema, but not sure I would be too keen on uncomfy seats!

Love this idea, I think it is so easy to be caught up in what is happening around us, we forget to focus on ourselves - it would be great to think we are bringing our children up not to do that! I know I am terrible for it and have been doing Embrace Happy myself to make me think a bit more.

I often use things that have gone past their best before, use by is slightly different though, especially with poultry. I wouldn't risk it.

Oh god, if I feel out of it now, then god knows how things will be when Sophie is older. I am positive that as parents we will be the source of much 'uncool' embarrassment for her. Revenge is sweet ;)

We've just moved to a bigger house and Sophie is loving the extra space - I think at the moment she would say her bedroom is her favourite place - its the first time she has had a room decorated as she wants it, and thats so exciting for a 3 year old!!
