So! I was going to say "WELCOME TO FREELANCE WRITING" and tell you to join us on ToastieSlack, but I guess there's only a #publishing thread and not a #writing thread in general. HOWEVER. There is a "Toasties" slack (toasties.slack.com) that is entirely for writing. It's more for creative writing, and there are prompts and stuff, but since the main ToastieSlack is so overburdened we could probably stand to go there and form a #freelancing and #publishing wing there.

Now, if I can just remember who's in charge of toasties.slack.com ....

This is actually pretty good, and made all the better because it's something good on CBC comedy! Thanks for this.

The threesomes I've had were because I was seeing two men simultaneously and they were like "welp this seems as good a time as any." So ... I hope that helps? Never had a threesome with another lady.

No experience! But tons of sympathy. I've heard of several librarians getting "phased out" in really manipulative and probably illegal ways. I hope she can find a better place to work, or branch out into consulting and public speaking; that sounds stupid toxic.

I had a weird point yesterday where I was reading a zombie apocalypse book (The Girl With All The Gifts) and for the most part it was delightful and lovely, but there was a quick moment (an aside, really) where it was all "Oh, and if the scavengers find you they'll use you for raping/breeding the next generation" and I completely shut down. I was so upset that this would be something worth mentioning in what was otherwise a perfectly acceptable dog-eat-dog scenario. Augh. So, I hope for a future in which the apocalypse doesn't hold an imminent threat of rape, as naive as that may be.

I wish you the best! For me, moving out on one another was the precursor to breaking up, in a way that ended up being desperately needed. I can't speak to his perspective, but being on my own and having completely-alone time was the best thing for me.
