My kids really love nature shows and documentaries. I don't object to too much because we talk about everything. My main issue with TV is the commercials that feed into the gimmes. I can't afford to support the gimmes. We worked long and hard to learn the differences between need and want but commercials undermine that.

Thank you so much! She s pretty awesome but I can't take all the credit! ;) I think the all or none take on media is extreme and we just have to find a balance. We also have to realize the same guidelines aren't going to work for all kids. Not every 10 should or could have a blog and I don't push her to do it. When she does she is so excited!
