Abby, this is uncanny! Last night I finished reading Bill Bryson's In a Sunburned Country, and learned about Shark Bay for the first time. I had never ever heard of stromatolites. I pulled up Google Maps and looked at the landscape of Shark Bay. I'm going to look for a copy of this book. Thanks for the review.
