I know you've tossed around the idea of throwing in the towel on MoI before, and I get it. But I am SO SAD. I love love love your writing and I hope to read it again in the future. I wish you the absolute best in whatever direction you go next. This is one of those moments when I am so thankful for social media. I have really come to love your spirit and hope to maintain our connection through Facebook. Here's to your next chapter.

Okay, I'm crying. I'm so glad you got to spend this weekend with Nikki and I know you made memories that will last forever. I'm just a few steps behind you with Ayla and I can imagine how much this time together meant to you. Wishing you a wonderful week - have fun decorating!

Finally FRIST! I just love that Nikki of yours - beauty, brains and heart all rolled into one girl. 53 is about what our high temp is here these days and I am OK with that. The only time I really dislike is the bitter, below 30 cold days of winter, until the first crocus pops up.

One of my all time favorite songs, that is. Your Halloween tradition sounds like so much fun. It is kind of late for us to start a new tradition now with Ayla being 10 and all. This will be our first Christmas without Santa Claus, and I am feeling the same excitement/ melancholy this year. Today I will remember to relish and appreciate every moment.

Thank you for sharing those gorgeous pics with us - the jelly fish ones are absolutely stunning. Haters gonna hate is right, and those people don't "know" you like we "know" you. You are one of the least wimpy parents EVER! Congrats on your features - I visited and commented at Scary Mommy, and will have to check out your Mamapedia post today too.

How fun! I have taken Ayla to a couple boy band concerts (The Jo Bros a few years ago and Big Time Rush) and I might or might not "get" the crushing on a member or two. I love that you fended off your cold with homeopathic remedies in time for an awesome weekend! Enjoy that room service!

Oh to have the bed and remote to yourself - sounds divine to me! Good for your smarty pants Nikki for scoring big. I'm not surprised since I'm sure she takes after her super intelligent Mama.

You are an incredible stepparent, parent, grandparent, and some amount of helicoptering is necessary to keep the kids safe, in my opinion. I didn't include it in my list this week, but I had a thankful stepparenting moment when my stepson left for his first day at his first "real" job as a mechanic. I was glad I was the parent sending him off with a hug and a good luck.
