That's very handy. I just got a sewing machine (maybe I should take it out of the box now!), so I am looking for easy little projects like this. I'm thinking of making some little catnip pillows to sell on Fiverr.com too. I bought some years ago and my cats just LOVE them. This would be handy to keep all my remotes in one place. I'm bookmarking it for later. #SITSSharefest

Flylady.com is supposed to have a really great water bottle on their site. It keeps water hot or cold for hours with no condensation on it and no leakage. I've been thinking of getting one too. I barely drink enough water to keep myself ALIVE - I just hate the stuff. But I know it's good for me, so I do my best to drink it. This is a pretty good strategy. #SITSSharefest

It is tough. Mine didn't go away to college, but he did move out - twice now, or maybe three times. It's tough every time, but you adjust and it does help being able to keep in touch by text and phone, and we usually have he and his wife now over for dinner on Sunday nights. But it's not quite the same. You do miss the every day stuff. I'm terrified they might move at some point (his wife is from a city 3 hours away). You want them to be happy, but we have so little family that I really value the little amount of family we have left!

That's a clever idea. I've been trying to trick myself by leaving full water bottles all over the house, but it's really not working out all that well. I either overlook them, or I don't take the time to refill them. This is probably a better idea for me. Thanks for sharing! #SITSSharefest

That's pretty clever. I have the same question as Sara. Do you publish the post first, create the pin image and then edit your post to add it? I was a little confused on that part. Also, I'm on Blogger, so you don't have the option to know ahead of time what your post's URL will be - you just have to take what they give you. So I might have to do it differently than a WP user. #SITSSharefest

Oh man! I was just thinking how much I like your Texas-shaped word cloud. I guess you'll have to make a new Florida-shaped one. Best wishes with your move and I hope you build a new life in Florida very easily.

Hi MrsTee - always glad to see your comments popping up on my blog. You are so faithful about visiting! I have been in exactly this same place, although I've been lucky to have my kids stay in the same town, so they haven't been far away - except for my stepson who has always lived in Calif. It is a big change, but it's funny how quickly it starts to feel very "normal" and we always have him over for dinner and whatnot at least once a week or so. The good thing is that you tend to focus on them more during the visits and actually enjoy more meaningful time with them because you appreciate that time more. Kind of freaky about that Sunday School lesson - I'd be having a word with that teacher about the appropriateness of that lesson for 5 year olds. It doesn't take much to set them off for years. They did a fire safety presentation at school when I was in 2nd grade and it scared me so bad, I slept with my mother for like six months! Even when I was an adult, my boss's wife told me about stepping off a curb holding her toddler and breaking her ankle. 20 years later, I never step off a curb that I don't see that image - ugh! Things can really stick with you. #SITSSharefest

These are some great ideas. I may get one of the tub trugs, those are seriously cool! I think the fork rests are great - I'd never seen them and I think it's genius to use them to keep the kids back from the fire, they are literally like little moths to the flame. We don't have little ones, but one of my tips is to use a Contact Hook to keep a small flashlight hanging right by the door of our trailer and another small one under every pillow. That way if someone has to make a "visit" in the night, they won't be scrambling to find a flashlight. I also keep thinking I want to get some of those space bags to store pillows and extra blankets. #SITSSharefest
